Here is a very useful piece of information for all of you. If you are arrested

by the police and you request a ‘Duty Solicitor’ chances are you will only get

a what is known as an Accredited  Legal  Adviser. Today in Winchester Crown

Court a judge asked one of these Accredited Legal Advisers what his occupation

was before he became an Accredited Legal Adviser and he told the court he was

(wait for it) a Custody Sergeant in the police force. Also there were many other

ex-policemen who work as Accredited Legal Advisers.

 

This situation is fraught with the potential for abuse and our advice is and always will

be, if arrested give only your name DOB, address and make NO statements after this…

The head of a government scheme to vet adults who work with children has hit out at criticism of the initiative.

 

Sir Roger Singleton, chairman of the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA), said people need to "calm down" and consider the issue "rationally".

The ISA has come under fire after it emerged parents who regularly give children lifts to sports or social clubs will have to undergo checks.

People who ignore the new regulations face fines of up to £5,000.

 

Vetting and barring

 

The Home Office's Vetting and Barring Scheme, which is designed to protect children from paedophiles, covers adults who are in regular contact with young people.

Anyone taking part in activities involving "frequent" or "intensive" contact with children or vulnerable adults three times in a month, every month, or once overnight, must register with the ISA.

David Stephen Butler provided very interesting reading on your website.  What a nasty little man I was reminded of and I hadn't thought about him for years.  Every comment I read was totally consistent with mine and other people's opinions of him.  I don't know if he is just deliberately annoying or if he lacks any insight into his behaviour and it's effects on other people.  He is exactly like a spoilt child that has a hissy fit when he doesn't get his own way and doesn't know when to stop.  He obviously hasn't changed since I knew him.

One of your writers correctly identified him working at South Down College - he "lost his job" because they "didn't renew his contract" - so he didn't REALLY lose his job.  But it leaves open to inference WHY they did not renew his contract.  Lots of people hire on fixed term contracts - meaning they can GET RID of bad people without any hassle.
 
My understanding was that Butler was dismissed from the navy for being caught by the police either having sex in a public place or cruising.  [The story changed so often I was never sure what was fact or figment of imagination].  Yes, he did brag about being caught by the police with his hand inside a young boys pants - and it got very boring to keep listening to as indeed did hearing about all his apparent conquests. 
 
The Royal Navy Association does contain - and is sympathetic to - ex-service men dismissed from active service on grounds of sexual orientation being discovered.  I've attended some of their events.  Butler was never welcome.  His behaviour was consistent with that described by Mrs R.  A favourite phrase of his when talking to it's memebers was "it was nice listening to you" which was reported to come across as extremely rude!"
 
After the navy Butler was working at the YMCA in Portsmouth, which sounds a very unsuitable job.  Why he "left" was always a mystery as by his own admission he was "very good at the job" and "very popular" with the boys.
 
Were you also aware that he was an associate lecturer at Bishop Otter College - a Chichester Institute College.  Frequent comments about his relationships with his male students being "often inappropriate" - his use of language with his students, even when their sexual orientation was known, was inappropriate - talking about his sexual activity, cruising activity and even what "favours" he'd accept ["Mars bar or blow job?"].  At one point he was reported to have got students giving him lifts too and from college, having students staying in his home overnight on the pretext of "giving them extra tuition" [extra tuition in what?] or visiting his home.  In a role of a teacher that is never done!  Is the reason he doesn't still lecture at BOC anything to do with Subject Access checks, superceeded by Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau searches which it's doubtful he would pass?
 
At BOC he was very friendly with the Chaplain of the time - Simon Griffiths - and they shared a common interest in the chaplaincy and the male students.   Incidentally Simon Griffiths is no longer at BOC but is at St Margarets in Sheffield - I've identified him correctly with the website link containing his photograph [http://www.stmatthewssheffield.co.uk/St_Matthews/vicars.html].  They often went out cruising at night, encouraged male students to go with them to gay clubs and a comment among us students was that Butler was often too tired to be his giving lectures.  Butler also encouraged male students to get into dangerous situtions and would take them cruising down Southsea seafront at night - hardly the done thing?
 
Butler was not a good lecturer and took the harsh criticisms made by me about his teaching ability very personally - one wonders why?  I pointed out that he should be focused on the purpose of his teaching and keeping a professional distance in place, as I had done as when I was a teacher.  I also said that I didn't find all the sexual innuendo/bravado funny, I acutally found it very offensive.  Incidentally reference his illness causing him to be fat - it's twofold, being greedy and being lazy.
 
He actually got his Cert Ed at Portsmouth Uni - from my enquiries - by riding on the back of other students work.  My understanding is that he "left" BOC because the person keeping him in a job also left!  As he was only an Associate Lecturer he was not closely monitored and only needed to turn up at BOC for the required contact teaching time - marking work was his responsibility to manage in his own time and one he did not manage.
 
Be aware that Butler was not welcome at some of the churches in Portsmouth.  Buckland United Reform Church being one where young boys had made complaints about his "unwanted attention" and his involving a church member with street drugs.  St Marys of Portsea asked him not to attend again due to sinilar "unwanted attention".  Despite his alleged background Butler was always vague about where he attended theological college and got his qualification.  My research has shown that he does not appear in any Church of England yearbooks - yet if he was a proper minister of religion he would certainly be listed there - currently or historically.  So does that mean that he's unfit for purpose - if such a thing exists in the ministry?  Or does it mean he was nothing more than a lay preacher?  I note he describes himself as a Chaplain for Royal Naval Association - surprisingly.  He also claims to be a qualified bereavement councillor, but he could never supply what evidence qualified him to do this.
 
As I am sure you are already aware, many shady people go into the ministry, bang on about being "Reverend" - a title Butler is very fond of - merely as a smokescreen to hide the past indiscretions of their lifestyle.  I notice with his involvement with LibDem he prefers to be addressed as Councillor Butler today.  He got the position as a result of fraternisation with Mike Hancock - who in my time in Portsmouth was known to like playing with men and boys as well as the women - Hancock and Butler are historically "good friends".
 
Overall David Butler is very clever at making things look good - at making himself look good.  His latest activities involve a dubious organisation called Life Celebrations?  What is that about?  He is also offering his services to churches in Havant - perhaps they have not been as well appraised of his activities to date.  You will also notice Butler doesn't suceed in keeping any friends for long.  He has a very accussing manner towards other people when anything goes wrong in his life and nothing is ever his fault - understandably, people get pissed off with him!
 
On the women in his life you might find interesting to talk to is his ex-wife - Helen Butler - of 34 or 36 Delamere Road interesting to talk to - neurotic, insecure "didn't understand me" - what did she have to put up with when they were married?  Perhaps talk to any of his THREE children - two sons and a daughter. 
 
I left Chichester Institute in 1998 having made many complaints about Butler which all fell on deaf ears.  I had to start my degree again at another establishment.
 
 
Feel free to print as much or as little of this as you like - it's a shame I've had to ask you to withold my name as if Butler came after me it would be a pleasure to lay him out on the floor and there are a few more very personal things I'd like to say to him in further support of standing up to the bully that other people were afraid of.

Cllr Lee Hunt emailed all Portsmouth City Councillors to announce

 his new address as 5 Dockmill Cottages. We have interviewed

Waterfields the Estate Agents of Southsea and they tell us, the

owner of 5 Dockmill Cottages is being sought by the police.

 

Kerry of Waterfields told PO12BG that 5 Dockmill Cottages

Is currently unoccupied and is for sale at £150,000.

 

This property has only a one bedroom, that same as 3 Dockmill

Cottages where Cllr Margaret Adair lives. Cllr Lee Hunt states on his

declaration of interests form that he lives at 3 Dockmill Cottages.

 

If you are confused, then you are not alone because to date,

no one knows where the illusive Cllr Lee Hunt actually lives.

Cllr Lee Hunt has been observed knocking on doors around the

Southsea area, so maybe he’s looking for ‘room and board’ somewhere.

PO12BG has been attacked by one car bombing incident and another

attempted. One of the elderly ladies who lives in Sydenham Court is

still in the hospital, suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation

 and yet the police refused to fingerprint these cars.

 

Some posters were distributed by unknown persons and as you can

see from the email below, the police have fingerprinted a fly posting

incident.

Excellent web site - wish we had the expertise in Sheffield.

The reason for this e-mail is to let you know that:

Johnston Press also control the local newspapers and:
 - are poltroons for the council
 - use the paper for social engineering
 - lie regularly
 - are up to their ears in Common Purpose.

I recently had a complaint against The Star upheld by the Press Complaints Commission, despite both the PCC and Johnston Press doing everything they could to beat the rap.

Now I am banned from having my name on any citizen comment on any of Johnston Press's publications nationally - their central server just spits out my name.

Good job we have aliases!
