Statement from Les Cummings.
“With all the attacks
I’m being exposed to, from many different quarters, this picture depicts how I feel my life is, I feel as though I’m
living with a noose around my neck.”
Whilst many of you were living hand-to-mouth, greedy
Portsmouth Councillors sneakily awarded themselves a…
39% pay rise last year.
Why?
Because it wasn’t an ELECTION
YEAR.
Not one councillor voted against this pay rise because
they were all too busy with their noses in the trough,
running away with your hard earned money.
Remember, these councillors squandered
away millions and millions in fiasco after fiasco.
Les will not take a penny from
you as a councillor
as he will be donating his wages
to charity.
Les is the author of the book Forgotten, an autobiography
of his childhood in the care of Portsmouth City Council.
In his book, Les holds no punches
in telling the
story of being seriously abused,
as a child in care.

In his book, Les tells it like it was, even when he
was forced to
steal food to survive. Also the fact that his childhood
left him a
little ‘rough around the edges’ and that
he was no angel.
We
feel Les should be given the chance to serve
his
community
by representing you as a councillor.
